SHILLONG, March 29: The state BJP has vowed to give its best shot in the upcoming elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) as and when they are held.
Speaking to media persons here, BJP spokesperson M Kharkrang said the party has already named its candidates.
“As we are contesting almost all the seats, we will go full-swing campaigning as soon as the elections are announced,” Kharkrang said, adding that their preparations are on the right track.
Maintaining that the BJP is always ready to contest elections, Kharkrang noted that the final decision rests with the central leadership.
It may be mentioned that the BJP has asked the state government to leave no stone unturned in creating a conducive atmosphere in the Garo Hills for early GHADC elections, which were postponed earlier this month due to the law and order situation in the region.
