VPP forms ad hoc committee for GH

SHILLONG, April 10: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Friday established its ad hoc committee for the Garo Hills Zone, marking a significant step in the party’s regional expansion.
The committee was formed during a meeting in Tura attended by senior citizens and youths from across the region.
Addressing the gathering, VPP president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit said there is a strong demand for an alternative political force in Garo Hills. He urged the public to join the VPP to combat corruption and bring about political change in the state.
Khronolaikh Marak has been appointed president of the ad hoc committee, with Ronald Sangma as secretary. The executive committee members include Ryan S. Marak, Joba Marak, Tengsim Momin, Jim Reeves Momin and Thinker Marak. Similarly, Dr. Meril Sangma, David Ch. Marak and Ajay M. Marak were named as advisers to the committee.
The party also appointed Abhi D. Sangma as the ad hoc president of the VPP Garo Hills Zone Youth Wing, with Salchura S. Sangma as secretary.
