Gratitude

The Jaintia National Council (JNC) Western Zone has expressed its gratitude to Jongnon Sankey, Branch Manager of SBI Mynso, for her prompt action in addressing the long-standing need for an ATM in the area. Following a memorandum submitted in February 2026 highlighting the difficulties residents faced in accessing banking services, the Branch Manager issued a work order within two months. Installation of the ATM is expected to begin in the coming weeks. JNC Western Zone president Hamehi Bamon stated that the new facility will greatly benefit local residents, especially elderly pensioners and students, by eliminating the need to travel long distances for cash withdrawals. The JNC described the development as a positive example of effective coordination between public organisations and financial institutions.
