SHILLONG, April 22: The police have issued a public notice to identify two men found dead in separate incidents this month. Both individuals were found in different locations and transported to Civil Hospital, Shillong, where they were declared brought dead on arrival. Post-mortem examinations have been completed, and the bodies are currently being held at the hospital morgue for identification and claim.
In the first incident, recorded as Sadar PS UD Case No. 19/2026, an unidentified man aged approximately 45 to 50 years was found at Mawlonghat on April 11. He is described as being about 165 cm tall with a dark complexion, thin build, and an oval face. He was last seen wearing a jacket over a white, brown, and black sweater and grey formal pants.
The second case, Sadar PS UD Case No. 20/2026, involves a man found unconscious at Bimola Point on April 16. Estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old, he had a fair complexion, medium build, and stood approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. His clothing included a black woolen cap with a white strip, a green sweater, a white shirt with blue stripes over a white T-shirt, and navy blue formal pants.
