Four-year jail for three men in NGH for assault and trespass

RESUBELPARA, April 27: The Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, North Garo Hills, has convicted and sentenced three men to four years and three months of simple imprisonment for criminal trespass and voluntarily causing hurt.
The convicts—Hamton D Shira, Clinton D Shira, and Riksrang D Shira—were found guilty under Sections 323 and 447 of the IPC.
The case was originally registered in 2020 at the Mendipathar Women Police Station. Following a thorough investigation, the court found the three accused guilty of the criminal acts.
Superintendent of Police Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao credited the successful conviction to the diligent efforts of the investigating officers and staff.
