State schools record 100% pass rate in ICSE, ISC exams

SHILLONG, April 30: Educational institutions across Meghalaya recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in the ICSE and ISC examinations declared on Thursday, with several students securing high scores across various streams.
Pine Mount School achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in both ICSE and ISC. All 179 students cleared the ICSE, led by Elsa Remkimi Kharkongor with 94.8 per cent. She was followed by Rilaka Iing Gatphoh (93.6 per cent) and Alzina Casey Barney Chen (93.4 per cent).
In the ISC section, all 75 students passed. In the Humanities stream, Ilasiewdor Warjri topped with 99 per cent, while Abameai Lyndem and Madonna Rimayaa Laloo shared the second position with 95.25 per cent. In Science, Emma Remsangpuii Kharkongor secured the highest marks with 97.25 per cent, followed by Liana Werasa N. Sangma (91.25 per cent) and Ikamanshwa Kharbithai (90.75 per cent). In Commerce, Retisha Rabha topped with 79 per cent, followed by Niawkorki Iongwai with 77 per cent.
Loreto Convent maintained its record with all 90 ICSE students passing, over 20 of whom scored above 90 per cent. Iaida Rimame Umdor Tham topped the ICSE batch with 98 per cent. In ISC, all 40 candidates cleared the examination, with 15 students scoring above 90 per cent. Lawankmen Kshiar topped the Humanities stream with 98 per cent, while Shareth Iame Malngiang topped Science with 93 per cent.
Meghalaya Police Public School (MPPS) recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in ICSE, with all 57 students clearing the exam. Of these, 56 secured first division. Laaikordor Marbaniang emerged as the school topper with 88.6 per cent.
Tura Public School achieved a perfect pass percentage as all 28 ICSE students cleared the examination in the first division. Adiel Anana Marak topped the school with 95.2 per cent, followed by Snyiestrieda N. Sangma (90 per cent) and Chloe M. Sangma (88.6 per cent).
Jowai Public School recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in ICSE, with 59 students clearing the examination. Dami Oo Paslien topped with 92 per cent, followed by Batiroi Shadap (91.80 per cent) and Man I Haka Rymbai (91.60 per cent). A total of 38 students secured first division.
Shillong Public School also recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in both examinations. A total of 32 students appeared for ICSE and 21 for ISC. The highest score in ICSE was 87 per cent, while the ISC topper secured 94 per cent.
