CoRP reconstitutes Western Zone

NONGPOH, May 30: The Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CoRP) on Saturday reconstituted its Western Zone and administered the oath of office to a new team of office-bearers for the 2026-2029 term.
The installation ceremony, held at the Patharkhmah Dorbar Hall, aimed to reactivate the zone, which had been dormant for several years. CoRP president Pateng Myrsing administered the oath in the presence of Hima Jirang representatives, HNYF Western Zone leaders and senior CoRP functionaries.
The new executive is led by president Sumar Lyngdoh and general secretary Runningwel Syngkli. Other office-bearers include vice president Woster Thangkhiew, organising secretary Prison Makri, among others.
