TIKRIKILLA, June 16: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of West Garo Hills arrested three drug traffickers and seized 53 grams of heroin during a naka operation here on June 15.
The suspects, identified as Sahidul Hussain (35), Saddam Hussain (35), and Rashidul Hoque (23), all residents of Goalpara, Assam, were apprehended following a tip-off. In addition to five plastic soap boxes containing suspected heroin, the team recovered two motorbikes and three mobile phones.
A case has been registered at the Tikrikilla police station under the NDPS Act.
According to the ANTF, the arrested individuals are suspected members of an inter-state organised crime syndicate. The ANTF has urged the public to provide information regarding the accused and their accomplices, stating that the identity of informants will be kept secret and suitable rewards will be provided.
