Shillong Peak entry restricted today for Defence Minister’s visit

SHILLONG, June 19: Authorities have revised the tourist advisory for Shillong Peak in view of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to the Air Force Station at Laitkor Peak on June 20.
According to an official notification, tourists will be allowed entry to Shillong Peak only between 7 am and 11 am on Saturday.
Access to the Air Force Station, which serves as the entry point for visitors, will remain closed for the remainder of the day due to security protocols for the high-level visit.
