Inauguration
The Shillong Municipal Board (SMB) will inaugurate the newly constructed Municipal Market at Iewdak, Laban, on July 18. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister Sanbor Shullai will inaugurate the market as the chief guest. Similarly, North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretary SK Bhalla (ITS) will attend the programme as the guest of honour, while Shillong Municipal Board Chief Executive Officer PK Boro will also be present.
Help desks
East Garo Hills District Election Officer (DEO), RP Marak, has established a help desk at the Williamnagar DC office (Room No. 58) and enumeration facilitation centres at the Songsak, Samanda and Dambo-Rongjeng C&RD block offices. In a notification, the DEO urged electors to visit these offices to verify their names in the electoral rolls. Citizens seeking assistance with the survey or enumeration forms have been asked to contact their respective booth-level officers or the District Contact Centre at 1950.
