Traffic Police realize fine

SHILLONG: Shillong Traffic Police has realized a fine of Rs.13,100 through imposition of penalty on traffic violations. The police collected Rs 6900 after imposing fines on 19 Tata Sumos who were allowing passengers to sit on the roof of the vehicle during the surprise checking at Nongmynsong point. The traffic police also collected another Rs.6200 after imposing fines against 22 tourist taxis which were waiting for passengers on the roadside and not at the designated parking lot.
