Guwahati: Star Cement, the Premier Cement Brand of North-East & East India, has won the 5th North-East Consumer Awards as the Most Preferred Cement Brand of the Year 2014. This is the 5th consecutive year Star Cement has won this coveted award.
Union Cabinet Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra presented this award in presence of Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi, Chief Secretary of Assam Jitesh Khosla, Chief Information Commissioner HS Das, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister MGVK Bhanu, Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIM Shillong Falguni Rajkumar, senior member of North-Eastern Council MP Bebaruah, Guwahati Commissioner of Police J. Chakravarty and Ex-Chief Secretary of Assam HN Das on glittering award ceremony held on last Friday at hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati.
The award was hosted by Hindi Daily Dainik Purvoday along with Asomiya Pratidin, Indian Chamber of Commerce, News Time, Royal Group of Institutions and Red FM. North-East Consumer Awards 2014 are based on exhaustive study conducted by independent agency among 2000 consumers across the region.
