TURA: In accordance with the directive of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the District Magistrate, South Garo Hills has issued prohibitory orders against rat hole mining and transportation of coal in the entire district.
“Any failure to comply with the said orders of the NGT shall be punishable under the legal provisions,” the order issued by the District Magistrate said.
The order will come into immediate effect until further orders by the NGT.
