Manufacture, use of plastic Tricolours banned

Mawkyrwat: The South West Khasi Hills District Administration has banned manufacture or use of the Indian National Flags made from plastic as they are non-degradable and hence affects its dignity.
South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ripnar Lyngdoh, issued the order based on the direction of the Honorable High Court of Bombay on August 14 and the subsequent notification issued by the Government of Meghalaya on August 27 last.
