No plan to add more schools under deficit pattern: Laloo

SHILONG: Deputy Chief Minister in charge Education, R.C. Laloo, on Wednesday said there was no plan on the part of the State Government to bring more schools under the deficit pattern.
In reply to a question raised by Brolding Nongsiej (UDP), Laloo said the pay of teachers in the deficit schools was at par with that of government school teachers.
To a supplementary question, Laloo said, “We are not bringing any school under the deficit pattern as of now.”
There are as many as 121 secondary schools and 17 higher secondary schools in the State under the deficit pattern.
