Body of missing woman found

JOWAI: Body of one Julimem Dkhar, who was reportedly missing, was found in a forest near Wapungshnong in East Jaintia Hills on Tuesday.
Dkhar, 46, was allegedly killed by her husband. The village Dorbar conducted the search after news spread that she was missing. A relative of the victim informed that on Sunday evening her husband, Dwis Phawa, of Mupyut village in West Jaintia hills, forcibly took her from the residence of her neighbour Tngen Phawa after which she was reported missing.
Earlier, on Monday, her family members had lodged a missing report at Ladrymbai PS. Sources also informed that her husband has been absconding since Sunday night.
The body has been taken to Khliehriat CHC for post- mortem examination.
