Seven Bangladeshis arrested in EJH

JOWAI: Seven Bangladeshi nationals who had illegally crossed into Indian Territory were arrested in the small hours of Wednesday during regular vehicle checking by police of the Infiltration cell at Umtyr check point.
Police informed that during the vehicle checking, seven Bangladeshi nationals were detected while they were travelling in a Tata Sumo (AS 11 AC 2868) driven by one Md. Akadas Ali.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Bilal Ahmed (30), Md. Jalil Ahmed (25), Md. Nazir Ahmed (30), Md. Abdul Hassan (20), Md. Shahid Ahmed (20), Md. Kawsar Ahmed (19)  and Md. Imran Ahmed (19) all of Sylhet District of Bangladesh.
“They came to East Jaintia Hills in search of work,” police said.
