SHILLONG: Work for the much hyped Motphran beautification project has been “crippled due to irregular supply of funds”.
According to sources, even though the State Government is committed to the project, irregular funding has delayed the work.
“Funds are not coming at one go. Small amounts are being released thus slowing down the work,” sources said.
It was over a year ago that the government had demolished the Motphran bridge for the beautification of the area.
