Extortionist duo lynched in GH

Tura: Two extortionists reportedly belonging to one family were beaten to death by villagers after they tried to kidnap their own uncle from a village near Rari in North Garo Hills early Saturday.
The two alleged kidnappers identified as Sengsrang B Marak (38) and Prewith B Marak hailing from Kitmadamgre village of Rari had tried to extort money from villagers and attempted to abduct their own uncle from the same village when the villagers caught them at around 4 O’clock early morning. A third member of the gang identified as Daweng B Marak managed to escape.
The two criminals were severely assaulted by an irate mob resulting in their death.
When police reached the scene of the crime the bodies of the two alleged criminals were found lying in the open field.
The bodies were later taken to Resubelpara hospital for a post-mortem.
