SHILLONG: The Co-ordination Committee on International Border (CCIB), has called upon leaders, individuals from Nongjri, East Khasi Hills to Jaliakhola, West Jaintia Hills to attend the public meeting to be held on July 13 at Madan Rit near Kali Mandir in Dawki, at 11 am to discuss about the Border Fencing.
The meeting will also talk abput land encroachment for fencing by the government in the border areas with Bangladesh which has affected those who live and earn their livelihood here. The committee has requested all the residents of the Indo-Bangladesh border to attend the meeting without fail, a release issued here on Sunday informed.
