SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Peoples Human Rights Council (MPHRC) has sought a high level inquiry into the incident in Williamnagar Civil Hospital where a pregnant woman was forced to deliver her baby inside the toilet allegedly due to non-cooperation from the hospital staff.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, MPHRC chief Dino Dympep said that doctors and nurses must take their duties and responsibilities seriously failing which action can be taken against them under the appropriate sections of law.
