Nongpoh: The Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) has denounced MePDCL for not solving the problem of unscheduled power shutdown in the district.
Finance Secretary of the RBYF Central Body, Liander Nongshli, said frequent power cuts in the district headquarters are inconveniencing the public as offices and business establishments are here.  “Unnecessary power cuts have affected the people, especially students, businessmen and government officials. But the consumers have to pay the exact amount of monthly bill to MePDCL despite frequent shutdown of electricity,” Nongshli said and demanded that the State government take action to solve the problem.
