On September 9, one Suresh M. Sangma of Balat Sohphi, Mawsynram, East Khasi Hills, a cadre of Achik Revolutionist Army (ARA) surrendered before Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills. However, he did not deposit any weapons.
