TURA: Several NGOs from Chokpot like the GSU, FKJGP, ADE and GHSMC have strongly condemned the recent abduction of nine traders from Assam and urged the abductors to release them unharmed at the earliest. “There will be no peace in Garo Hills if incidents of kidnapping continue. We appeal to all groups to desist from such acts in the future. We also appeal for the safe and immediate release of the nine kidnapped traders for the sake of peace,” the NGOs said.
One of the kidnapped traders managed to escape from the abducters net.
