SHILLONG: Rowell Lyngdoh criticising the Congress leaders have upset its members in Mawkyrwat.
“The district Congress members from Mawkyrwat are upset over the statement of our leader, Rowel Lyngdoh criticising the leaders of the party. It is very disheartening.” Mawkyrwat District president and MDC from Langrin, Mansturdy Nongrem said.
Nongrem further added that Congress will come to power in the 2018 Assembly Polls and then a meeting will be convened over the statement by the MLA from Mawkyrwat.
Veteran Congress leader Rowell Lyngdoh had recently stated that the Congress party in the State will be grimed due to the functioning style of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president D.D Lapang.
Lyngdoh will, however, seek re-election from Mawkyrwat on a Congress ticket.
