SHILLONG: A police personnel died on the spot and a woman sustained grievous injuries in a road accident in Ri Bhoi district.
Police said the incident occurred on Tuesday night when a pick-up vehicle (ML-05E-5809) driven by Diken Wahlang (38) knocked down two pedestrians – Spander Kshiar of 1st MLP Battalion and a woman identified as Aldarisha Khongshit (19).
Spander Kshiar died on the spot while Aldarisha sustained grievous injuries and was admitted at CHC Bhoirymbong.
