MGU convocation held

Nongpoh: Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) had its annual convocation at the seminar hall at 13th Mile, Byrnihat, on Thursday.
West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi was the chief guest on the occasion where graduation and post-graduation degrees were conferred on students.
Praising the students for their performance, Tripathi said, “Mahatma Gandhi is an inspiration for all of us. By following in the footsteps of Gandhi, the university will surely make a difference in the field of education.”
The university started six years ago. Among other guests were Petko Doykov, ambassador of Bulgaria, Wolfgang C. Amann, programme director at HEC Paris (Qatar) and K. Janardhanan. Dr Milie Goel, president of the university’s promoting body read out the pledge.
