TURA: A group of riders distributed sports equipment and stationeries among children living in a home at Galwang Sanchonggre in West Garo Hills. The charity ride, named ‘Ride for Hope’, was part of the Republic Day events organised by NH-51 Rebels.
Freedom Life Centre’s Happy Home, situated around 15km from Tura, supports 29 children between the age group 4 and 15 years from different parts of Garo Hills and neighbouring Assam.
NH-51 Rebels has so far organised a peace rally in West, South and East Garo Hills, a road safety demonstration in Tura and Health Camps, among other social welfare events.
