‘All round devp topmost agenda of BJP’

NONGPOH: BJP national joint secretary B.L Santosh on Thursday urged the people of the State to back the BJP for the sake of development in the Hill State.
Santosh was in Nongpoh to interact with leaders and supporters to strengthen the saffron party ahead of the 2018 Assembly polls in the State.
Meghalaya BJP president Shibun Lyngdoh, president of the Ri Bhoi unit of the BJP, B.B Makdoh along with other state and district leaders of the saffron party were present in the meeting held at the community hall, Sajer on Thursday.
Over a thousand BJP supporters attended the meet.
Addressing the gathering, Santosh appealed the supporters to back the party in the upcoming polls while assuring that if the BJP comes to power, things will change for the better.
He also said that the people in the country are fed up with the Congress and are looking up to the BJP to usher in overall development.
“The BJP stands for development,” he reiterated, adding that people of Meghalaya should realise that the country has seen a spurt in developmental activities within a short span of the NDA rule under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
