NONGPOH: Chief Adviser DD Lapang unveiled a foundation stone for construction of a new school building of Nehru Memorial Higher Secondary School, Umsning, under the project Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya, which was sponsored by Asian Development Bank (ADB) at the sanctioned amount of Rs. 2.39 crore together with the District Institute of Educational Training located at Saiden Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi.
Other dignitaries present on the function includes C. Lyngdoh, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary, D. Sumer, local MDC, V Nongbet, DSEO, Hiambok Bassaiawmoit, Executive Engineer PWD, Shillong and others. The school also felicitated one of the teachers of the school, who have completed 25 years of service and also to meritorious students.
