Los Angeles, Aug 16 (PTI) Singer Shawn Mendes says pop star Taylor Swift advised him not to be afraid on stage. The “Treat You Better” singer became popular after he opened for Swift on her 1989 World Tour in 2015. The 19-year-old artiste is now one of the most dynamic acts in pop music, reported E! Online. “She told me not to be afraid to go out on stage because everyone in the stadium came to have fun. This is not a judging contest, this is a concert,” says Mendes. The singer takes Swift’s advice in consideration, but his listeners’ opinion matters the most to him. “People need to give (my fans) a little bit more credit. If something’s not good, oh, they let me know.” PTI
