KSU donates torchlight and cash to women’s body

Nongpoh: The Khasi Students Union, North Khasi Hills District on Friday donated cash of Rs. 10,000 and torchlights to the women body of Mawroh village in Ri Bhoi District as part of recognising their initiative in making a clean and healthy Nongpoh town besides maintaining peace and tranquility in the village.
The torchlights were given as it is an important tool during night patrolling by the women to prevent any kind of anti-social activities. Members of the women body of Mawroh led by its president, Margret Rymbai attended the function.
