SHILLONG: Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh, who is seeking re-election from Sohiong constituency, is a ‘crorepati’. The affidavit filed by the sitting legislator reveals that the total value of his moveable assets is Rs 14,734,000.
The MLA has a savings account of Rs 10,700,000 in a Shillong bank and a Toyota Fortuner worth Rs 19, 64,000.
As far as his immovable assets are concerned, the MLA owns three residential buildings in the city and Sohiong, the approximate market value of which is Rs 36,000,000.
Moreover, his spouse is also a lakhpati as far as moveable assets are concerned, the gross value of which is Rs 47,43,672. She also owns three residential buildings in Shillong the total market value of which is Rs 25,8000,00.
On the other hand, former Congress MLA Prestone Tynsong, who is now trying his luck on an NPP ticket, possesses land worth more than a crore.
The affidavit filed by the former MLA says that the gross value of his moveable assets is Rs 35,583,93 while the moveable assets of his spouse is worth Rs 3,827,691.
Tynsong, his spouse and his dependent owns three non-agricultural lands whose approximate current market value is Rs 85,000,00, Rs 160,00,000 and Rs 55,000,00 respectively.
Both Tynsong and his wife own residential buildings worth Rs 35,000,00 each.
The current market value of Tynsong’s property is Rs 12,000,000 while his spouse’s property is worth Rs 19,500,000.
Meanwhile, KHNAM MDC Adelbert Nongrum, who is contesting from North Shillong, has moveable assets totaling Rs 2,93,459.
The KHNAM candidate owns a vehicle worth Rs 1.5 lakh but neither he nor his spouse owns any land.
The MDC from Mawprem Laban, Ricky Shullai who is contesting the polls as an Independent candidate from Mylliem constituency has moveable assets whose total value is Rs 5.86 lakh while the total value of his spouse’s moveable assets is 30.19 lakh.
While Shullai does not own a plot, his spouse owns a non-agricultural land in Lawsohtun whose current market value is Rs 28 lakh.
