GUWAHATI:The President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Abdul Hamid arrived in here on Thursday afternoon by a special flight for visit to Assam.
He was accorded a warm welcome by the Governor of Assam Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport along with two state cabinet ministers , Ranjit Dutta and Parimal Shuklavaidya, besides senior state government and police officials including the chief secretary and the DGP.
The Governor Assam has organised an elaborate reception for the Bangladesh President in the city on Thursday night.
