Local Holiday
The DC West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin has declared May 28 as holiday on account of ‘Shad Suk Mynsiem’ of the Seng Khasi. In this connection, all State Government Offices and all Revenue, Magisterial Courts, Institutions in the district will remain closed.
Recruitment rally
The Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Shillong has informed that the candidates who have successfully registered for the Army recruitment rally to be held at Tura from May 22 to 25 to avail pre-recruitment physical grooming and medical in the following places; Polo 2nd Ground, Shillong, Ampati Stadium from 9 am to 12 pm on May 16 and 17, MP Stadium, Tura daily in the evening and at Umroi on from 9 am to 12 pm at Football Ground on May 18.
Exhibition
Marquis Bazaar, an executive lifestyle exhibition is scheduled at the upcoming Hotel site (behind Vishal Mega mart) Shillong at 10 am on Saturday. The exhibition will be inaugurated by MLA Adelbert Nongrum followed by felicitation ceremony.

Programme
Sarada Mahila Samiti, Laban Shillong will celebrate a year-long programme on completion of its 50 years of social-religious service. Inauguration of golden jubilee programme will be held on Monday followed by annual Falaharini Kali Puja on Tuesday at Hatath Colony Durga Mandap.
