NONGPOH: In another reckless driving incident, a woman was killed in a road mishap after she was dashed by an auto rickshaw at Umlyngkdait village along the National Highway in Nongpoh.
According to information received, the deceased identified as Phrinsi Kharmyndai (75) hailing from Umlyngkdait, Nongpoh, was on her way back home when the auto rickshaw bearing registration no ML 10- A- 1902 drove by Rajesh Marwein hit her.
The villagers who witnessed the incident rushed the victim to Nongpoh Civil Hospital, but due to her critical injuries, she was declared dead. The Nongpoh police are investigating the matter.
