SHILLONG: The Opposition Congress seems to be unfazed at the decision of its legislator MM Danggo to join NPP once the Ranikor civil sub-division is inaugurated.
While downplaying the news, Congress spokesperson Zenith Sangma on Wednesday said the party is on the job to find out its veracity.
On Tuesday Danggo had led a delegation from Ranikor to meet the chief secretary to inquire about the status of the Ranikor civil sub-division.
Commenting on the development, Zenith said Danggo’s meeting with the chief secretary does not tantamount to anti-party activities.
During the recent visit of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to Ranikor, Danggo had stated that he would quit the Congress and join NPP on the day of inauguration of the Ranikor civil sub-division.
