SHILLONG: Achik Youth Council adviser Dardy Marak sought information under RTI from the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary.
After the department delayed in responding to the RTI query, the AYC filed a complaint against the department. After a hearing by the Chief Information Commissioner P.B. O Warjri, a decision was taken. Besides imposing fine of Rs 1000 on the Public Information Officer, directorate A H & Veterinary Shillong, he has been directed to provide the information by October 8.
