SHILLONG: One person identified as Probil Kumar Roy was charred to death in a fire incident at his house at Laitumkhrah in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to police, PK Roy (52) was working as a pharmacist in a dispensary in Laban. It is learnt that a cylinder blast might have led to the fire.
The postmortem of the body is likely to be conducted on Monday.
In another fire incident in the city, a house was gutted at Madanriting at around 9.20 am on Sunday. No causality was reported.
