JOWAI: The DC and Returning Officer, District Council Election, West Jaintia Hills on Saturday released and handed over the copy of draft electoral roll to political party representatives at his office.
Distributing the Draft Electoral Rolls the DC called for cooperation from the political party representatives for a smooth and fair election.
He further urged the candidates to go through the draft rolls and to ensure that voter attaining the age of 18 as on January 1 get them enrolled.
B. Blah, EAC briefed the political party representatives and informed that the last date for filling of claims and objection is on January 22, 2019 and claims and objection filled if any will be disposed on January 26. The final electoral roll will be published on January 30.
