SHILLONG: Members of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Mawlai, extended their support to Mawlai Block Congress Committee (MBCC) on Monday. The MBCC under the leadership of Mawlai MLA Process T Sawkmie as president welcomed the new members.
The party’s candidate for the district council polls from Mawlai is Marbud Dkhar.
The PDF Mawlai Zonal Committee was led by Sarita Lyngdoh, widow of Founder Cajee, the former MLA/MDC of Mawlai. Mawlai constituency has three contenders for the council seat — Marbud Dkhar of Congress, Embhahlang Syiemlieh of UDP and independent candidate Teibor Pathaw.
