DC issues prohibitory orders in SGH

TURA: DC of South Garo Hills, HB Marak has promulgated Section 144 of the CrPC considering the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
The order prohibits carrying of arms and explosives, displaying of flags or stickers in any private or commercial vehicles or in any premises, pasting of posters and papers, erecting and displaying of cutouts, hoardings, banners and flags in the district.
In a separate order, the district magistrate also directed to surrender licensed arms held by individuals, to the nearest police station for conducting safe and smooth elections.
