NONGPOH: A team of election commission consisting of static surveillance team and SSB personnel on Saturday night seized Rs 2 lakh from three persons at Khapmara checkpoint, Bhoirymbong, Ri Bhoi.
The trio carried the money in a car without consent from the authorities concerned, leading to the violation of Model Code of Conduct.
When asked, the accused could not produce any document to the election commission team.
