Principals stress on positive values among students

SHILLONG: The first top position in the HSSSLC results went to BBS College in the Commerce stream and St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School in Science and the principals of both the college and school have stressed on the need to inculcate positive values among students to make them perform well in the examinations.
The vice-principal of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Henry Warbah said that the school offers education which values religious, moral, social and aesthetic aspect and students take these seriously as a result of which the performance of the school over the years has been excellent.
Stating that parents also play an important role in the performance of the students, he added that the school has a name and they don’t want to let the reputation of the school go down.
He also said that the school addresses students every day in the assembly and mischievous students are also corrected after their parents are called to help them.
Sanjay Rana, the principal of BBS College said that such brilliant performance from the students inspire him and other teachers to produce more such students by assisting them in their studies. He also said that since the college was established in 1993, it has always tried to get good students and many of them have performed exceedingly well in the examinations and other activities.
