Imphal: Governor of Manipur Najma Heptulla on Friday presented Unit Citation Award to 15 Assam Rifles and Appreciation Certificate to 19 Assam Rifles at Raj Bhavan here.
The Unit Citation Award was given to 15 Assam Rifles which arrived in Manipur on December 2017 and was deployed at Mantripukhri in Imphal to assist in stabilising volatile security situation in the state while, at the same time, contributing in society building.
Moreover, the Certificate of Appreciation was given to 19 Assam Rifles as the Governor was pleased by the outstanding service rendered by 19 Assam Rifles at Samtal Salient in Chandel district of Manipur. (UNI)
