SHILLONG: Around forty dancers of the state have alleged that the Kynud Sur Thiang Music Talent association, a music association has adopted unfair means while conducting the dancing competition at Mawjrong Swer which concluded recently.

“This competition was set up and a way to make quick money” renowned dancer of the state Walter Kharkongor said adding that this set up involved the organizers and the judges.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Kharkongor said the cash prize worth Rs 30,000 which was supposed to be handed over has been delayed on many occasions. “They have claimed that there is a funds constraint” he said.

He said that these complaints have been brought forward by the dancers who have also alleged that the organizers did not abide by the norms of the competition.

”I directed the dancers to file a complaint letter to the organizers asking for fair judgment and re-organizing the competition”, he said.
