 SHILLONG: A truck on its way to Shillong from Guwahati went off the road and fell into a gorge near the Umling Market, Ri Bhoi on Thursday.

The 108 ESA based at Nongpoh admitted Boppa to Nongpoh Civil Hospital. In another such incident, a truck (ASOIDD–4569) loaded with cement travelling towards Shillong overturned near Orchid Resort at Thadlaskein, Jaintia Hills on Wednesday. The injured was admitted to Jowai Civil Hospital.

Romeius Mawlong (35/male) riding a motorbike towards 15th Mile from Byrnihat sustained injuries after he was hit by another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place near the Coca Cola Factory at 15th Mile, Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi District on Wednesday at 1:59am. Mawlong was admitted to to Guwahati Medical College (GMC), Guwahati.An LPG tanker (ASOIDC–2198) and a truck (ASOIY–1211) travelling in the opposite direction were involved in a head on collision at Umsamlem, Ri Bhoi District on Wednesday.The 108 ESA based at Nongpoh admitted Saajan Singh (35/male) the driver of the tanker and his helper Hemanta Singh (21/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital and then to GMC, Guwahati.

Genefif Nongrum (7/male) sustained injuries at Mawryngkneng near the stadium after he was hit by a truck (ASO1F–1030) while he was returning home after school on Monday. He was admitted to Nazareth Hospital.A pedestrian walking on a roadside sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle near the SBI ATM at Nakham Bazar, Tura on Monday at 2:46pm. The 108 ESA based at Tura admitted the victim to Tura Civil Hospital.
