TURA: The Gasuapara regional unit of the Association for Democracy and Empowerment (ADE) has submitted a complaint to the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Gasuapara Development Block urging him to facilitate the completion of a piggery shed at Rakipara village, the construction of which was abandoned halfway.
According to the association, the incomplete piggery shed was a project which was allotted in the year 2017-18, during the tenure of the previous BDO, and as the same remains incomplete, some of the job card holders are yet to be paid their wages for 30 days of work.
The association urged the current BDO to resume work on the half-constructed project so that the villagers can be benefited and the job card holders are paid their wages in full.
Meanwhile, as per the claim of the association, another piggery project under the same block has been successfully completed at Angratuli Village even as a portion of the funds meant for the project is yet to be released by the block office.
According to the association, the remaining funds were borne by the VEC Secretary himself and the association has urged the block office to refund the same.
