NONGPOH: As many as three persons hailing from the same family died on the spot after being struck by lightning while they were working on a Poultry Farm at Rtiang village under Umsning Police Outpost in Ri Bhoi district.
As per sources, the incident occurred on Thursday evening at around 4 PM. The deceased were identified as Herdalit kurbah (40), Ronstar Rympeit (32) and Stonder Kurbah (21).
It was also informed that the family members of the deceased and the village leaders didn’t inform the police on the incident. However, the police came to know about the incident on Friday and that an enquiry has been conducted find out the details of the incident.
