NONGSTOIN: A 10-year-old boy was hit by a car in Mawshut, Mairang after which he succumbed to his injuries. Source informed that a Maruti 800 (AS-25C1899), while proceeding Mairang towards Rani Godown and on reaching Madan Sohphoh of Mawshut village, struck Khamphernaki Wahlang of Mawshut village, WKH who died on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle fled away after the accident.
An enquiry into the matter was conducted, and a case has been registered in Mairang PS for which investigation was on.
